GLOBAL WARMING
UN climate change report provides new estimated chances of crossing global warming level of 1.5 degree celcius or even 2 degree Celcius which will be beyond reach in next two decades. The 1.5 degrees Celsius is an important global target because, beyond this tipping points irreversible changes in the climate system will be more likely to be occurred.
If the climate rises at the rate of 2 degrees Celsius, extreme heat will occur which will make agriculture more difficult.
The report mentioned that ice melt and sea levels are already speeding up. Wild weather events such as heat waves and storms are also expected to worsen and become more frequent.
